ABOUT

Perclax® is the name of the cast methacrylate produced by Clax Italia. It is entirely composed of PMMA, a thermoplastic polymer obtained by bulk-monomer polymerization by casting processes.

Based on the most innovative and advanced technologies, Clax Italia’s Perclax® stands out for its outstanding optical properties, extreme purity, transparency, lightness, toughness and excellent light, aging, weathering and chemical reagent resistance, as well as for the rigorous

 

checks systematically performed on thickness tolerances.

It can be opaque or transparent, colourless or coloured.

Clax Italia’s standard production line mainly includes: Plates and flat and/or curved Blocks (thin and large monolithic blocks), Bars and Pipes.

They can be employed in a variety of uses, including roofing and building construction, finishing

 

and furnishing, objects, noise barriers and in many other fields such as the food, energetic, scientific, military and medical ones.

AQuariA® Aquarium glasses represent one of the most interesting applications of the above-mentioned blocks.

According to a wide array of artistic, hand-crafted and industrial production processes, PMMA plates can be processed or thermoformed.

Perclax® block production consists of pure cast methacrylate monolithic blocks.
Renowned for their extreme purity, they also stand out for their brightness, transparency,
lightness and aging resistance.
They are produced up to the highest (unstratified) thicknesses, with a high molecular
weight.

 

They can be opaque or transparent, colourless or coloured with both the smooth surfaces
and/or a frozen, orange peel, anti-glare, stardust, sandblasted and fluorescent surface.
They can also encompass objects within their thickness.
Available in monolithic standard production measures and/or cut-to-size products, with
polished edge on demand, Perclax® blocks provide excellent physical and chemical

 

properties and a high transparency index, with a minimum of transmitted light greater than
or equal to 92%.
Perclax® blocks are constantly monitored throughout all production stages ending with an
annealing process, thanks to which complete polymerization and less internal material
tensions are guaranteed.

Standard plate production provides pure cast methacrylate acrylic sheets of various thicknesses and properties. They can be opaque or transparent, colourless or coloured, both with the smooth surfaces.

FROZEN

Frozen plates (GH) can be opaque or transparent, colourless or coloured, produced with a smooth surface and a frozen one.

Frozen plate production provides pure cast methacrylate sheets of various thicknesses and properties. Available in standard production measures and/or cut-to-size products, with polished edge on demand. They can be combined with the production of fluorescent, sandblasted, anti-glare and orange peel plates.

BA

Frozen plates (BA) can be opaque or transparent, colourless or coloured, produced with a smooth surface and an orange peel one. On request, both can be orange peel surfaces.

Orange peel plate production provides pure cast methacrylate sheets of various thicknesses and properties. Available in standard production measures and/or cut-to-size products, with polished edge on demand. They can be combined with the production of frozen, fluorescent, embedded, stardust, anti-glare, sandblasted and integrated plates.

MS/BSB

Sandblasted plates (MS/BSB) can be opaque or transparent, colourless or coloured, produced with a smooth surface and a sandblasted one, or with both the sandblasted surfaces.

Available in standard production measures and/or cut-to-size products, with polished edge on demand. ANTI GLARE

Anti-glare satin plates can be opaque or transparent, colourless or coloured, produced with a smooth surface and an anti-glare satin one. On request, both can be anti-glare satin surfaces.

Available in standard production measures and/or cut-to-size products, with polished edge on demand. Stardust plates can be transparent, colourless or coloured, produced with both the smooth surfaces. Embedded within plate thickness, small “glittering” particles with more than 50 different colours.
